Jeep Cherokee Takes Over Chrysler HQ

The American HQ for Chrysler, Dodge & Jeep has a 30-story tall picture of the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee around it. – The Chrysler building (their headquarters located in Auburn Hills, Michigan – not THE Chrysler Building located in Midtown Manhattan, or any other building owned by Chrysler in Los Angeles) has a new wrap around it – not a rap about it, unfortunately.

According to Mike Manley, president and CEO of Jeep, “the whole concept of building wraps is a way the company to show off the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee as a world-class vehicle to any and all who ends up passing by the Chrysler headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan, which includes up to 200,000 motorists passing along Interstate-75, a stones throw away from Chrysler’s HQ.”

This is the second building wrap of the year – when the company won 2010 Motor Trend Truck of the Year award, they graced their building with it as well.

The 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee is power is provided by a 290 horsepower 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 or an option upgrade of 360 horsepower 5.7-liter HEMI V8. While detailed fuel efficiency data wasn’t revealed, Chrysler says the V6 can deliver up to 23 miles per gallon highway. Cherokee will be available in three different trim levels. The base Laredo 2WD is priced from $30,995 and the top-of-the-line Overland 4WD starts at $42,995.
