2008 Jeep Liberty Review, Video & Pictures

Although once outclassed among competitors, the 2008 Jeep Liberty has been modernized to make up for its past limitations. The improved on- and off-road handling of the five-passenger Jeep has more extensive features that will give consumers a second thought about turning the Liberty down.
The option of two- or four-wheel drive is available for the two trim levels: Sport and Limited. The Sport Model has 16-inch alloy wheels, full power accessories, air-conditioning and a CD stereo. The Liberty Limited Edition upgrades to 17-inch alloy wheels, a power driver seat, cruise control, a leather steering wheel and the Infinity sound system along with satellite radio. Optional features for each trim level include 18-inch chrome wheels, automatic temperature control, heated leather seats, the Sky Slider cloth roof or traditional sunroof, Bluetooth and a MyGIG infotainment system. Each model is powered by a 210-horsepower, 3.7-liter V-6 engine.
Attributing to a 2-inch-longer wheelbase allows more rear passenger legroom and increase cargo capacity. Optional for the Sport and standard in the Limited, is the fold-flat front passenger seat.
Standard on the 2008 Jeep Liberty are antilock disc brakes, traction control, side curtain airbags and an electronic stability system.
