On April 30th, 12 Chrysler plants were ordered to idle production as its parent company began talks with Fiat and other interested companies about a merger.

It seems since the announcement of Ch. 11 status by Chrysler, and it’s “merger” with Fiat, things still haven’t stabilized for the struggling American auto maker.

Jeep’s J8 may look like a variant your redneck uncle put together on weekends out of an old Wrangler, but it’s actually a military grade Jeep, constructed in Ohio, capable of last three times as long as the regular (civilian) model.

The Jeep name of today is seen more as a commuting vehicle and not always synonymous with off-roading or a tough exterior.
